Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Procurement Consultant in Petersburg, Virginia. This role is in the industrial sector and will require the successful candidate to manage the contract process, both renewal and execution of new contracts. The role is fast-paced and requires excellent organization and communication skills, along with a familiarity with various software systems and procurement processes.Responsibilities: Overseeing industrial purchasing operations and ensuring they are carried out efficiently Managing the contract process, including renewals and execution of new contracts Maintaining intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency to handle data and reporting tasks Utilizing SAP or similar ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems to streamline procurement processes Leveraging CRM and Crystal Reports to maintain customer service and documentation standards Applying knowledge of ERP Solutions and Management Systems to improve buying processes Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies Addressing and resolving customer inquiries related to credit applications and records in a timely manner Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking the necessary actions to collect on delinquent payments Working closely with other team members to ensure all procurement activities align with the overall business strategy. Requirements Candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role Proficiency in CRM is essential Experience with Crystal Reports is required Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary Knowledge of ERP Solutions is crucial Ability to use Management System effectively Experience with 'About Time' software is desirable Understanding of Buying Processes is required Compliance knowledge and experience is a must Excellent Customer Service skills are necessary Documentation skills are required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
