Accounts Payable Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Petersburg, Virginia, 23803, United States. As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our accounts payable operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice processing, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.Responsibilities: Accurately inputting invoices into the system for approval and processing Managing the receipt and posting of PO logs in a timely manner Conducting full cycle accounts payable operations, from invoice entry to payment Ensuring accurate and efficient processing of a high volume of invoices, typically ranging between 700-1,000 monthly Working independently to resolve any accounts payable issues that may arise Leveraging skills in Accounts Receivable (AR) and invoice entry to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth operations Monitoring and managing customer credit accounts, taking appropriate actions for delinquent payments Processing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintaining accurate customer credit records and handling customer credit inquiries. Requirements Must have knowledge and experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) Must have experience in entering invoices Proficiency in accounting software is required Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Strong problem-solving skills Must have a professional attitude and strong ethical standards Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Previous experience in a similar role is desirable Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
