Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Textile and Fine Art Restoration Technician to join our team. This role involves working with homeowners who have experienced fire or flood damage, assisting with the restoration of textiles and fine art, and maintaining our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator, capable of managing relationships with homeowners, adjusters, and insurance carriers, while providing exceptional service in a sensitive and challenging situation.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Communication:
-Work directly with homeowners who have experienced fire or flood damage to their properties
-Clearly explain restoration services, timelines, and processes to homeowners.
-Maintain ongoing communication with homeowners, adjusters, and insurance carriers to ensure a smooth and efficient restoration process.
Restoration Services:
-Assist with the restoration of textiles (clothing, linens, etc.) and fine art damaged by fire, smoke, water, or other contaminants.
-Carefully handle, document, and protect homeowner belongings during the restoration process
Warehouse Management:
-Help maintain an organized and clean warehouse facility where restored items are stored.
-Safely store and retrieve homeowner belongings as needed.
-Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Relationship Management:
-Build and maintain professional relationships with insurance adjusters and full-service restoration partners.
-Provide timely updates and support to adjusters and partners throughout the restoration process
Qualifications:
-Prior experience in restoration, textiles, fine art handling, or a related field is preferred.
-Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with homeowners, adjusters, and insurance representatives.
-Detail-oriented, with a commitment to handling items with care and maintaining accurate records.
-Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
-Organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient warehouse environment.
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment:
This position involves working in a warehouse setting, interacting with clients in their homes, and collaborating with insurance professionals. It may require standing for extended periods, lifting heavy items, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
