We are a premium construction company serving the Hampton Roads and Eastern Shore areas of Virginia. The company has existed for over 25 years, boasts nearly a century of cumulative experience between its corporate staff, contractors and consultants and is in a substantial growth phase.
We need a stellar superintendent, one who should be capable of ensuring high production quality for about five residential projects simultaneously and keeping a fantastic temperament with our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and all other trades to determine specifications and requirements of the project.
- Negotiate and handle both trades and vendors in order to hit deadlines and meet budget.
- Ensure adherence all safety standards and protocols in coordination with local laws.
- Should be on each job site daily to take account for inventory of product on site, as well as take detailed notes and pictures of progress of the jobsite at the time of visits.
- Must collaborate with both your project manager and the homeowners in determining and fulfilling any selections regarding the project.
- Must be present for any inspections done and must be capable to provide the appropriate information necessary regarding his or her project.
- Should be capable and knowledgeable of local insured trades and potential contacts in order to get the appropriate jobs done.
Requirements:
- Should have at least 2-4 years of experience as a construction superintendent.
- Must have exceptional knowledge and understanding of Project Management, Construction order and procedures, and resource management.
- General knowledge of safety standards and regulations on a jobsite.
- Must have at least basic knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Some necessary soft skills include: Communication, Negotiation, Organization, and being Teamwork Friendly.
- Preferred to have bachelor’s in engineering or Relevant Field.
- Preferred to have Project Management certification.
Benefits:
- Salary 55,000-70,000, Subject to Negotiation and based on experience.
