Director of Media Ministry and Communications - Responsible for producing Christ-focused media and communications content that spreads the Good News of salvation and accurately represents the mission, doctrines, and values of the Church to effectively carry out its mission and vision to touch people with the love of Jesus Christ, working on multiple projects with various ministries at the same time to bring God’s word and Christian message to diverse local and international audiences and congregation members of all ages. All of the position’s duties require a deep knowledge of the Southern Baptist faith to effectively incorporate Christ’s message into media content to engage Church members in the teachings of Jesus Christ and recruit new Church members. Duties include overseeing, managing, and directing all media production in the Church, including, but not limited to, developing content for weekly live stream worship and television broadcasts, promotional videos, and social media clips to grow the social media presence of the Church, disseminate the Christian beliefs of the Church, and spread the message of Christ for missions in the United States, Central and South America, and Africa; collaborating with the worship planning team to create, direct, and produce Bible-based video segments for in-person and live stream worship gatherings and television broadcasts incorporating Biblical teachings; engaging people with the teachings of Christ by directing, coordinating, writing, editing, and building all internal and external communication activities to create content for ministry and outreach to the public, including video, social media, online content, and other materials that convey the Church's mission and the message of Christ’s love; directing, producing, and writing Christian television shows and music videos, testimonies, pastoral videos, and humanitarian campaigns; working on large production settings for television and other formats, including audio, multi-camera video, and lighting; collaborating with pastors and presenters to build a unified vision and message for the Sunday worship experience, developing Biblical themes and integrating various spiritual elements into a cohesive message that reinforces the message of the sermon series; ensuring that the Church’s website effectively conveys the Church's mission, values, and beliefs and welcomes the community into the embrace of Christ; ensuring that new graphics for upcoming events, sermon series, and other updates are proactively designed and implemented in accordance with Church values and doctrines; overseeing, developing, managing, and implementing the Crossway Brand and branding guidelines to spread the message of Jesus Christ and ensure that Church outreach efforts appeal to and reach the broadest audience; communicating via multiple internal and external channels in a timely and effective manner; and using a variety of tools and technologies including Word, PowerPoint, Audition, Dropbox, and Premiere. It is also expected that the individual in this position will be an active member of the Church, praying for the people and families in the ministry and community; attending weekly staff chapel; developing spiritually through personal Bible reading and prayer; tithing; and embracing the Statement of Faith and abiding by the Ministry Team Covenant. This position supervises one (1) part-time Media Ministry Production Assistant, 25 ministry volunteers, and media contractors as needed.

Position requires (1) Bachelor’s degree in communications, media production, film/television, or closely-related field. (2) 24 months of work experience in a Christian media production position, including: (a) Directing, producing, and writing Christian television shows and music videos, testimonies, pastoral videos, and humanitarian campaigns; (b) Producing content for diverse and international audiences; (c) Working with large production settings, including audio, multi-camera video, and lighting, including television production; (d) Using Word, PowerPoint, Audition, Dropbox, and Premiere; (e) Working on multiple projects with various ministries at the same time; (f) Communicating via multiple internal and external channels in a timely and effective manner; and (g) Growing the social media presence of a church, non-profit, or business. (3) Membership in and deep understanding of the religious mission, vision, faith, and creed of the Southern Baptist denomination. (4) Successful completion of background check within one month of hire. (5) Work schedule Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm, Sunday 7am-1pm.
