We are seeking an experienced Certified Substance Abuse Counselor for our non-profit organization. As one of the Certified Substance Abuse Counselors, you will be responsible for working with our Counseling staff to facilitate substance abuse treatment groups, conduct one on one substance abuse counseling, complete assessments and manage our men’s sober living housing. The ideal candidate must be available to work the afternoon/evening shift and Saturdays.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Facilitate group substance abuse treatment groups on Monday-Thursday at 6:00-7:00 p.m. and 7:30 – 8:30 p.m. each night, and Saturday at 11:30 – 12:30 p.m.
Complete treatment notes on EHR program for each person within 48 hours.
Conduct one on one counseling sessions as needed.
Complete Substance Abuse Assessments as needed.
Manage men’s sober living housing facility. This will require meeting one on one with each person for an assessment and also while they are in the sober-living facility, collecting monthly rent, and performing random urine screens as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Certification.
Completed ASAM Criteria Certification.
Experience in substance abuse counseling.
Must have personal transportation and a valid driver’s license.
Criminal background check and pre-employment.
