Job Title: Batching Assistant
Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Batching Assistant to join our team. As a Batching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the efficient operations of our batching production area, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained at all times. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the batching of ingredients, operating equipment, performing basic laboratory testing, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in manually batching dry and liquid ingredients according to specifications.
Operate pumps, valves, and control systems to ensure accurate batching processes.
Perform basic laboratory testing and accurately record data.
Load and unload tanker trucks, completing necessary paperwork in compliance with FDA regulations.
Conduct tank and line cleanings using CIP systems and manage cleaning schedules.
Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP rules.
Safely perform all work tasks, including wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Train incoming operators once qualified.
Operate forklift for material handling.
Communicate effectively with team members regarding equipment operation and overall production.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to sanitation schedules and using appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Troubleshoot systems and procedures as needed.
Adhere to Company policies and ensure safety procedures are followed at all times.
Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous experience in a production facility, preferably in beverage/food production, is preferred.
Forklift operation experience is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet use.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously.

Flexibility to work any shift, weekends, and holidays as required.
Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50-75 pounds and perform physical tasks as described.
