Dental Hygiene Assistant

Hygiene assistants perform tasks that prepare patients for hygiene treatments to speed up the workflow for the hygienist and dentist along with setting up the room for treatment. The hygienist assistant is responsible applying fluoride, taking x-rays, sterilizing instruments, scheduling six month appointments and chart review for the next day. In addition the hygiene assistant is responsible for inventory duties, such as ordering supplies and ensuring the treatment room is fully stocked and sterilized.
