Line cook working specifically with an UNOX combination oven. Our restaurant does not have a flat top, grill or deep-fryers. You will also be cross-trained to expedite and weekend availability is a must. This position is currently for 3 days a week, typically around 20-25 hours/week.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
- Ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
Experience:
- Experience in a high volume kitchen a must
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary terminology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
