Sr. Software Engineer

Job DescriptionInsight Global is seeking a qualified Senior Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience in support of one of are large federal clients in Virginia Beach, VA. Candidate will be responsible for researching and building circuits to maintain data streams and track project milestones, collaborating with government personnel, offering technical support to project team members, and actively contributing to evaluating new technical resources. Their day-to-day includes but is not limited to: Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting operating systems and software. Develop and review system processing and performance for AN/SPA 25J and SPQ-15 systems. Develop descriptions and data flows of proposed systems and perform requirement analysis. Develop radar distribution towards a fully realized digital software-based version where all functions can be hosted in a compute virtualized and containerized environment. Assist with the network development within a radar distribution system to increase capabilities and to maintain cybersecurity requirements besides validation. Promote and suggest findings to government personnel regarding circuit designs regarding FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) Participate in daily scrum meetings within an agile and JIRA framework to check in on daily milestones during the infancy stage of the project Develop Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software-based radar display video capabilities towards a virtualized and containerized solution. Experience in the development of Naval combat systems, including definition, functional allocation, design development, testing, integration, and operational deployment.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
