Description Robert Half is looking for As a Sales Order Clerk at our corporate office, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of sales orders and maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency in our sales operations. You will be responsible for reviewing sales orders, coding them for purchasing, and ensuring that each purchase order aligns with the sales contract and agreement details and pricing. Additionally, you will verify delivery addresses and proceed to order the merchandise for the customer. Billing clients and managing collections for items will also be part of your responsibilities. Position will start our part-time while training. The good news is this client is willing to train!Key Responsibilities:

Reviewing Sales Orders: Thoroughly examine sales orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Coding Orders: Properly code each sales order for purchasing purposes, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.

Purchase Order Verification: Verify that purchase orders match the terms outlined in the sales contract/agreement, including details and pricing.

Delivery Address Verification: Validate delivery addresses to ensure timely and accurate shipment of merchandise to customers.

Merchandise Ordering: Place orders for merchandise based on validated sales orders, coordinating with suppliers/vendors as necessary.

Billing and Collections: Handle billing procedures for clients, and manage collections if required for any items.

Excel Skills: Utilize solid Excel skills to manage and organize sales order data effectively.

Attention to Detail: Maintain a strong attention to detail throughout the sales order processing workflow to minimize errors and discrepancies.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands.

High school diploma
