Provide technical leadership in planning, investigation, design, and implementation of physical and logical communications solutions having network-wide impact
Develop solutions incorporating integration of digital encoding formats, line codes, and timing concepts across engineering disciplines
Lead team members, customers, and vendors in defining, analyzing, and providing solutions for voice, data, and image communications requirements
Prepare complex work prints and schematics to define and illustrate entire network structures
Identify and recommend new design tools for communications projects
Evaluate projected corporate network usage and implement media solutions
Participate in and influence marketing proposals by providing costing models and technical solutions
Identify product modifications and influence vendors to incorporate changes
Plan, design, and implement network management systems to monitor multiple communication networks
Lead network administration systems implementation to ensure accurate network inventory
Oversee network performance diagnostics, control, and measurement
Manage a team of network engineering professionals
Qualifications:Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in network engineering
Experience managing network engineering teams
Strong understanding of network architectures and protocols
Experience with network performance monitoring and optimization
Leadership and team management abilities
Desired:
Experience with DoD/Navy programs
Network certifications (CCNP, CCIE, etc.)
Knowledge of DoD network security requirements
Experience with large-scale network implementations
SAFe certification
Understanding of classified network requirements
Experience with legacy network integration
Project management certification
