RG19256Position: Master Data Management DirectorLocation: Norfolk, CT Compensation: $170,000 - $210,000 + 20%-30% Bonus + Excellent Benefits + Paid Relocation Job Description:This company is a Holding Company for 6 well-known, very profitable companies.All companies up through this point were acquired and allowed to work independently and they each had their own systems when it comes to Financial systems, Human Resources systems, and ERP's. Between the 6 companies they have multiple ERP Systems including: SAP, NetSuite, and 3 versions of Oracle.The virus has changed a lot of things and they are looking to create a Shared Services environment and standardize their systems across all companies. They are starting this company transformation in the Financials area with the Financial systems and have decided to go with SAP S4. They are looking for a person with strong Master Data Management experience. The person should have a strong background in I.T., but experience with Finance would be huge. This company is undergoing a Finance Transformation initiative that will drive effective finance support for business management; promote strong governance and control in the organization; and have a world-class finance organization in terms of execution and efficiency.Within the Finance Transformation Program, they are planning a global ERP implementation consisting of SAP Hana S4 to replace legacy systems. These legacy systems consist of Oracle EBS, NetSuite, SAP, and other systems across our global brand portfolio. They are also looking to standardize other processes and systems across the organization (Tax, HCM, Real Estate, etc).A critical enabler for the successful initiation, execution, and ongoing operations of these systems and processes is largely dependent on the organizations ability to clean, standardize, convert, and migrate master data across platforms (MDM). They are looking to build a Master Data Governance (MDG) structure to drive operational excellence across ongoing operations, consisting of standardization, process documentation, controls, workflow, ownership, and accountability. This person will be responsible for leading the end to end design, implementation, and ownership of ongoing operations for MDM and MDG. MDM will consist of master data for Customer, Supplier, Employee, Chart of Accounts, SOX Controls, Products, Assets, Facilities, Contracts, and even policies and process documentation to name a few. Responsibilities:Develop strategic roadmap and operational framework for Master Data Management and Master Data Governance.Design, oversee and standardize data structures for data governance across multiple brands, systems, operating units, in alignment with our long-term ERP Strategy.Lead the design and oversight of APIs in cooperation with Transformation Strategy, and short/ long term business needs.Develop, test, and deploy Master Data Governance model in cooperation with division and brand leaders.Operate effective Governance Model with the right balance of Structure, Standardization, Speed, Agility, and Business / Brand requirements.Ensure optimization of data continuous governance practices for consistent, secure and synchronized data availability throughout business functions in accordance with all enterprise policies.Work closely with leadership and implementation teams to design Data Models in alignment with Finance Transformation Strategy and ERP Implementation.Work closely with Global Business Services (GBS) team to support the harmonization and standardization of Finance, Accounting, and other transactional business processes.Builds organization-wide data analytics capabilities through brokering access to data sources and providing upskilling opportunities across the organization. Bring together large, complex and sparse data sets to meet functional and non-functional business requirements.Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing systems.Help in building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts for supporting initiatives (automation projects, process improvements, etc.).Build foundation for development of mature MDM/MDG teams and long term organizational capabilities.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science or related fields. Master’s preferred.10 years of leadership experience in leading/managing cross-functional teams.10 years of experience in managing enterprise data strategy and multi-year roadmaps.10 years of experience in data analytics, data mining, and data governance.Knowledge of Master Data Maintenance models, technical data architecture.Ability to effectively coordinate, allocate, and manage resources and projects throughout multiple teams.Knowledge of trends and developments in the fields of data management and data analytics.Information management and quantitative skills, including working knowledge of IT infrastructure, various technologies/platforms, and enterprise-specific such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite.Industry-specific knowledge of data security protocols, policies, and Financial Institutions / Banking/ E-Commerce.Exceptional analytical, written, oral, and presentation skills with proven track record of effectively communicating actionable insights.Exemplary diplomatic skills and ability to help senior business leaders see value, opportunities, and risks beyond their own area of expertise.Ability to understand problems from a broad perspective and anticipate the impact of administrative issues and solutions.25% travel during normal circumstances.
