Interfaces with planners, senior schedulers, associated craft coordinators, unit outage coordinators, and work week managers to update and prepare an integrated online maintenance and/or outage schedule. Attends daily update/planning meeting as needed and is an active member of the Work Control Team (WCT). Downloads automated work orders and LAN reports to transfer data to scheduling software (P6). Revises scheduled activities for work departments, Work Week Managers. Utilizes scheduling techniques, practices and established criteria to develop, maintain, analyze, and evaluate station schedules. Analyzes critical path impacts based on schedule changes. Responsible for producing logic diagrams, customized schedules and reports. When supporting the outage group, prepares outage analysis data during the outage and for the final outage reports.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperienceThe knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following:Associate Nuclear Scheduler-0-2 years directly related experience, with strongly preferred working knowledge of craft specialty and/or nuclear operations, and experience preparing maintenance (PM/CM/Outage) schedules-Prefer previous work experience in commercial nuclear project planning and work management, to include proficiency with Primavera (P6).-Good computer skills, to include basic knowledge of spreadsheet applications and ability to learn to use on-line scheduling software.-Ability to transfer data between various applications and platforms.-Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize work.-Good communication skills.-Good analytical and abstract thinking skills, as well as ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.-Ability to process information quickly with attention to detail.Nuclear Scheduler-2+ years directly related experience demonstrating working knowledge of craft specialty and/or nuclear operations, as well as experience preparing maintenance (PM/CM/Outage) schedules.-Previous work experience in commercial nuclear project planning and work management, to include strong use of Primavera (P6).-Proficiency in schedule analysis, with experience in the use of a computer, spreadsheet applications and on-line scheduling software.-Some experience working with LAN-based project scheduling tools.-Demonstrated ability to transfer data between various applications and platforms.-Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work.-Good communication skills and demonstrated experience through effective interaction with various levels of employees and management.-Basic negotiation skills required to address work priorities.-Demonstrates analytical and abstract thinking skills, good problem solver.-Ability to process information quickly, attention to detail.Senior Nuclear Scheduler-5+ years directly related experience demonstrating advanced knowledge of craft specialty and/or nuclear operations, as well as experience preparing maintenance (PM/CM/Outage) schedules.-Considerable knowledge and work experience in commercial nuclear project planning and work management, to include mastery of Primavera (P6).-Knowledge of company software and systems used for scheduling outages.-Proficiency in Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule analysis, with considerable experience in the use of a computer, spreadsheet applications and on-line scheduling software.-Proven ability to prepare and present technical information and data in a variety of formats.-Previous experience working with LAN-based project scheduling tools.-Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize work of self and others, work in a fast paced environment.-Excellent communication skills and demonstrated experience through effective interaction with various levels of employees and management.-Demonstrates strong analytical and abstract thinking skills, good problem solving skills, skill in determining the impact of changing variables on plant operations.-Ability to process information and make decisions quickly in a fast paced environment.-Detail-oriented.Education RequirementsDegree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:AssociatePreferred Discipline(s): Technical StudiesOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.Licenses, Certifications, or Quals DescriptionWorking ConditionsOffice Work Environment 51-75%Travel Up to 25%Other Working ConditionsTest DescriptionNo Testing RequiredExport ControlCertain positions at Dominion Energy may involve access to information and technology subject to export controls under U.S. law.
