Job Title: Project ArchitectJob Description:We are seeking a talented and experienced Mid to Senior Level Architect to join our esteemed client in Richmond, Virginia. The ideal candidate will be proficient in producing construction document (CD) sets with minimal supervision. Join us and contribute to creating innovative and functional spaces that meet our clients’ needs and exceed their expectations. Key Responsibilities:

Project Variety: Work on diverse projects including residential, commercial, adaptive reuse, churches, education, and hospitality.

Client Consultation: Collaborate with clients to determine the functional and spatial requirements for new structures or renovations.

Design Preparation: Develop detailed information regarding design, specifications, materials, color schemes, equipment, estimated costs, and construction timelines.

Site Visits: Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather necessary information.

Proposal Preparation: Prepare fee proposals and develop time, cost, and staffing budgets for approval by the Department Head.

Project Coordination: Direct and coordinate project personnel to ensure timely and budget-compliant project progression.

Layout Planning: Plan project layouts and integrate engineering elements into cohesive designs for client review and approval.

Documentation: Prepare scale drawings and contract documents for building contractors.

Bid Management: Represent the client in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.

Contract Administration: Administer construction contracts and conduct periodic on-site observations to ensure compliance with plans.

Qualifications:

Proven ability to produce CD sets independently.

Strong project management and coordination skills.

Excellent client consultation and communication abilities.

Proficiency in preparing detailed design and construction documentation.

Experience in a variety of project types.

Ability to run a project from start to finish

Mentorship and management of junior staff

Strong client consultation skills

Effective coordination of project personnel
