Job Description

HII - Mission Technologies is currently seeking a Systems/Software Engineer Specialist to work out of their client's Merrifield, VA office in support of the USPS Engineering Systems Software Development Life Cycle Process Management Project.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems.
  • Performs engineering design evaluations.
  • Documents design evaluations and documentation reviews in TARs.
  • Supports and/or installs software applications/operating systems.
  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of software.
  • Writes Software Test Reports.
  • May develop a range of products.
  • Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used software systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the field.
