Manager, Project Management (US Card)

Center 1 (19052), United States of America, McLean, VirginiaManager, Project Management (US Card)As the Card Payments Portfolio manager, you will be responsible for supporting the successful delivery of strategic programs for the Inbound Payments team in US Card. With close partnership with our product and technology partners, and across multiple large-scale, complex programs, you will support the full lifecycle of program delivery, from intake and refinement to cross-functional delivery and reporting. This associate will also be responsible for leading Payment related ceremonies helping drive the entire program to success.General Responsibilities:

Support large scale programs on behalf of Inbound Payments (e.g., partner conversions, new business ventures)

Manage intake and prioritization of strategic intent with our line of business partners, coordinating across job disciplines

Manage and track intent delivery and critical path milestones across impacted cross-functional teams. Identify dependencies and mitigate upstream and downstream delivery risks

Maintain governance model to manage the portfolio and facilitate prioritization of most critical initiatives, managing stakeholder community expectations and reporting progress in a digestible manner

Collaborate with all levels of the organization to monitor and manage the critical path, plan contingencies, facilitate scope changes, and control resource expenditure

Report on program and feature delivery progress, managing escalations and impediment resolution

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate Payments ceremonies ensuring best practices for the Payments organization

Build and maintain high trust relationships with partner teams across the Card and Capital One to keep abreast of current strategies and manage work in progress

Achieve results with complex, multi-disciplinary projects

Ideal candidates will have experience with the following:

Retail Partner portfolio conversions and/or launches

Experience with delivering large scale projects and managing timelines, scope, requirements, dependencies and sprint management

Proven experience as a facilitator in a technology delivery environment, demonstrating a strong knowledge of delivery methodologies and ceremonies

Very strong verbal and written communication skills to both senior leadership and large groups

Understanding of credit card payment processing, industry standards, and regulations

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

At least 5 years of Project Management experience

At least 2 years experience of Agile delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or an advanced certifications (CSM, CPO, SAFE)

PMP, Six Sigma, Lean certification

7+ years of experience in project, program or portfolio management

4+ years experience in financial services and the consumer credit card industry

4+ years experience of Agile delivery

2+ years experience with delivering projects and managing timelines, scope, requirements, dependencies and sprint management

Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $147,800 - $168,700 for Manager, Project ManagementCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
