Audio Visual Specialist/Systems EngineerJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with PolygraphEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: LocalThe Opportunity:CACI is seeking a Senior AV Systems Engineer to provide Tier 2/3 AV operations and maintenance support encompassing all aspects of AV work. As part of CACI’s Team, you will apply systems engineering to AV as well as support functions as an AV Specialist. Task outside of engineering could include designing, developing and creating innovative concepts and ideas to enhance all visual aspects of the company or client brand across all external and internal communications, advertising and promotional materials to include literature, print, multimedia, and social media marketing, web applications, presentations, videos, and similar graphics applications. Duties may include planning, designing and preparation of artwork (audio, video and visual), as well as strategy and conceptualization of new designs.Responsibilities:

Responsible for the installation and operation of VTC equipment

Install AV equipment, fiber, RG6, CAT 5, and CAT 6

Setup routers, computer hardware/software, racks

Troubleshooting systems and apply appropriate fix actions

Maintain accurate logs of trouble isolation and repairs

Complete routine system checks

Support COTS vendor management and product deployment planning efforts.

Occasionally travel to customer locations

Researching, acquiring, editing and producing commercial broadcast-quality video and audio informational materials for use on web and traditional media platforms. Identifying and selecting newsworthy events. Producing radio, television and documentary scripts, narrations, public service announcements, and spot announcements

Preparing sets to include the positioning of lights, cameras, sound, properties and personnel, and ensuring special audio and video effects are used effectively

Editing final video products shot in sequence and/or out-of-sequence to ensure continuity, effectiveness of action and dialogue or narrative, using industry standard digital editing

Designing, developing, debugging, and implementing new software products or major enhancements to existing software

Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on user requirements

Address problems of system integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms

Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements

Maintaining productive working relationships with staff in other communications

Perform feasibility analysis on potential future projects

Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools

Physical Requirements: This position encompasses a combination of office and field responsibilities, necessitating both physical and mental capabilities to effectively fulfill the job requirements. The employee should be prepared for a dynamic work environment that may involve extended periods of sitting while operating office equipment, as well as occasional standing, walking, reaching, and lifting objects weighing up to 20 pounds. Field duties may require climbing ladders, working in various weather conditions, including exposure to heat, cold, or environmental elements. The employee should possess adequate manual dexterity, eyesight, and proficiency in using standard office tools such as computers, printers, and telephones for tasks involving reading, writing, interpreting, and managing paperwork. Effective communication skills and the ability to adapt to changing work settings are essential. This role may also involve occasional travel, including overnight stays, requiring flexibility in working hours and commitments. Safety protocols must be always followed to ensure a secure work environment.

Qualifications:Required:

TS/SCI w/ Poly

BA/BS Degree in a Technical field (i.e. Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science).

7+ years’ of AV and Systems Engineering experience, or 11 years and a high school diploma, or 9 years and Associates Degree

Experience using the follow technologies: Satellite Equipment, RG6 Equipment, CISCO Device 1 & 2, Video Digital Switching 1 & 2, Cat5 / Cat6 testing & terminations, Fiber Terminations, Polycom, Audio Mixers

Experience installing all varieties of AV equipment, fiber, RG6, CAT 5, and CAT

Experience setting-up routers, computer hardware/software, and racks

Experience maintaining accurate logs of trouble isolation and repairs

Experience troubleshooting and applying fix actions to various AV systems

Experience editing final video products shot

Experience preparing sets to include the positioning of lights, cameras, sound, properties and personnel

Experience reviewing and analyzing complex system designs and blueprints and update customer with specifications

Understanding of and apply to apply the principles of layout and design of photographic projects using industry standard software, with an emphasis on Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium software and hardware for layout, editing, and producing final multimedia products

Knowledge of end-to-end production of professional video and audio materials (e.g. conception, design, execution, finishing/editing, and distribution/publishing)

Knowledge of copyright laws applicable to visual information production
