Description We are seeking a Payroll Supervisor/Manager to join our team located in McLean, Virginia. This role provides an opportunity to contribute significantly to our payroll management process. You will play a crucial role in administering payroll for our employees, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the processing of payroll for 101-500 employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. Supervise the administration of 401k-RRSP and other employee benefits. Manage the in-house payroll system, including updates and maintenance as needed. Handle payroll garnishments, ensuring compliance with legal requirements. Utilize the Ceridian system effectively for payroll management. Respond to and resolve any payroll-related inquiries from employees. Monitor employee accounts regularly and take necessary action as required. Maintain accurate records of all payroll activities. Collaborate with the management team to ensure efficient payroll operations. Stay updated about changes in payroll and tax laws that may affect the payroll system. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Ceridian payroll software Experience in 401k - RRSP Administration Familiarity with Benefit Functions Proven ability to manage Payroll for 101-500 Employees Experience with Payroll - In-House management Knowledge of Payroll - Garnishments Proven supervisory or managerial experience in a payroll setting Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under tight deadlines Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent customer service skills for interacting with employees regarding sensitive and confidential payroll matters Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
