Role ProfileThe Site Procurement Lead is responsible for driving purchasing and indirect supply chain activities and aligning resources to optimize site procurement efforts and ensure compliance to internal guidelines, SOX requirements and legal requirements. They strive to optimize procurement, inventory, and GMN structure across all material and service categories and across capital purchases. In addition, they champion corporately participating in maximizing leverage by aligning with corporate procurement efforts. This position will be based at our manufacturing site in Martinsville, Virginia. Responsibilities

Assuring that all safety guidelines are met within the Procurement Department to accomplish site safety goals

Responsibilities for site purchasing activities including negotiation, supplier selection, and supplier development for assigned suppliers

Providing site leadership for the implementation of enterprise and site contracts for manufacturing goods and services

Investigating sourcing opportunities to develop and lead site cost improvement projects; manage costs and cost reduction results; identify and remove barriers to progress

Working closely with category manager to manage supplier performance for key materials. Managing and tracking Procurement operations metrics in key systems as needed. Owning supplier development programs and manage supplier metrics.

Assuring that site procurement operations meet internal guidelines, SOX requirements, and external regulatory/legal requirements

Managing procurement aspects of business ISO quality program requirements

Implementing corporate and local Procurement policies and procedures

Monitoring/Executing capital procurement activities for critical spares and new equipment to ensure continuity of site manufacturing operations

Monitor procurement card program for site

Perform day-to-day operational activities including establishment of purchase orders and outline agreements, expediting of deliveries, resolution of invoice discrepancies/complaints and non-conformance.

Driving continuous improvement to enhance process efficiencies in Purchasing, sharing best practices, and leveraging spend opportunities with other sites

Coordinate the relationships with site management and other functions

Leading and developing site Procurement personnel; execute employee development and coaching processes; as applicable

Managing Purchasing cost center budget to targets

Ensuring optimal outcomes consistent with strategic procurement priorities

Fostering relationships with key site leaders and users to clearly understand needs and delivering a high level of customer satisfaction from purchasing services.

Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business-related, engineering, or technical discipline

Five years of procurement experience preferred.
