Safety & Security Supervisor

Position SummarySovah Health is looking for the ideal candidate who will provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors. Serves as Safety Officer. Ensures compliance with Joint Commission Environment of Care, Life Safety and Emergency Management requirements. · Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.· Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises and documents appropriately.· Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.· Assigns and schedules work time and duties of Security officers/department.· Reviews Security and Safety reports, maintains files for future use.· Oversees the securing and storage of patient valuables.· Evaluates and documents Security officers for annual performance review.· Develop and maintain Security and Safety department operational budget.Who We Are:People are our passion and purpose. Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Ability to think and reason under stressful situations. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both verbal and written form. Ability to adapt to changing work conditions and requirements. Valid driver’s license.Ability to stay on feet >90% of an 8 hour shift. Ability to occasionally push up to 300 pounds, and assist in lifting up to 300 pounds. Ability to work in both heat and cold with extremes being –10°up to 110.Certifications:American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider required.Minimum Work Experience:Four years’ experience in police or security fields. Knowledge of safety and security management.
