As a HRBP, you will play a critical role in providing consultative support to our assigned business unit leadership, HR Leadership team, and members. We are looking for an independent, self-starter who is comfortable rolling up their sleeves, handling day-to-day HR functions, and providing consultative level support. The HRBP supports and coaches the assigned business unit in all aspects of HR, including the development, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of employee relations, compensation, staff member support, performance management and the day-to-day administration and implementation of policies and programs.This position can be located in our Lafayette, LA, Lebanon, VA, or Fairfax, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.Your future duties and responsibilities: Performance Management, provide proactive support and guidance to all levels of management and staff members, on day-to-day performance management activities (e.g. coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions including assisting managers in preparing and documenting Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs.) Including proactive support to managers and members Employee Relations, working with all levels of management to ensure issues are addressed and properly documented and conducting investigations with support as needed; serve as mediator as required. Work with Ethics and Legal on as needed consultative basis Assist, coordinate and/or lead the implementation of Corporate and Business Unit initiatives Provide interpretation/guidance and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures at all levels Sound understanding and adoption of applicable laws and regulations as it relates to all aspects of HR Identify, develop, and deliver training programs on policies, programs, and best practices Analyze data trends and metrics to inform business decisions. Identify gaps and provide solutions as needed Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning Conduct regular meetings with respective business units building collaborative relationship for solutions and growth of our members and businessActively partner and collaborate with various Center of Excellence (COE) stakeholders such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Planning, Learning & Development and Compensation Respond to member inquiries, assist with onboarding and off boarding members, processing transfers and serving as the initial contact for leave of absences Other duties as assignedRequired qualifications to be successful in this role:Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in HR Consulting with an HR generalist background. In addition: Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent relevant education and experience PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP and/or SHRM-SCP certification not required but highly preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office Experience in Government Contracting industry not required but preferred; SCA experience not required, but preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills Excellent organizational, time management skills and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to effectively work independently and in a team environment Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies Up to 10% travel may be required This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and advisor for colleagues and clientsDesiredSCA experienceCGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
