A luxury apartment community in Fishersville, Virginia is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician.
The candidate must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, and fellow employees. Must have the necessary tools to effectively complete tasks and must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Responsibilities: Work and interact with residents to identify, diagnose, repair, and resolve issues related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, stairs, railings, carpet, tiles, flooring, etc.
Requirements:
· Plumbing – includes the repair, replacement, or installation of pipes, water heaters, appliances, and toilets.
· Electrical – includes the repair, replacement, or installation of power switches, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, and climate control systems.
· Drywall repair – filing in small holes, minor dings from normal wear and tear, mainly during turnover.
· Painting – includes minor touch-ups or full paint when the apartment is turned over.
· Appliance Repair – includes repair, replacement, or installation of appliances including washers/dryers and water heaters.
· Cleaning – includes maintaining a tidy appearance in and around the community, including the leasing office, clubhouse, and fitness center. Also includes the vacant apartments prior to move-in
· One year of prior maintenance is required.
· High School graduate or equivalent is required.
· The ability to obtain HVAC training.
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. After hour on-call rotation for emergencies and weekend hours depending on position and workload as determined by your supervisor.
