A luxury apartment community in Fishersville, Virginia is seeking a full-time General Cleaner to join the staff.
The General Cleaner is responsible for ensuring that the physical cleanliness of the community meets the established standards for safety and appearance.
JOB SUMMARY
The General Cleaner is to assist with maintaining the physical cleanliness of the community. This involves ensuring a safe, secure, and comfortable living environment for residents, visitors, and staff. The General Cleaner will carry out assigned duties in a safe manner and other duties as requested by the maintenance supervisor.
Full Time. Non-Exempt (eligible for overtime)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for all basic cleaning around community and apartment buildings. Cleans floors and rooms, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, picking up larger objects off the floor, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
Perform cleaning tasks to include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, trash removal from the community's leased space buildings.
QUALIFICATIONS: Would prefer 1 year of experience in general cleaning/custodial or equivalent field.
Equipment Requirement: Required to wear back support belt when lifting, goggles when working with specific equipment, masks, gloves and other PPE as tasks dictate.
Work Hours: 40 hours per week. May require some overtime. Weekends only as circumstances warrant.
Pay: 18.00 per hour.

Equipment/Machinery/Tools:
An employee in this position must be knowledgeable and skilled in the safe use and maintenance of the following tools: floor buffer, vacuum, and carpet shampooer.

· Performs duties while meeting daily deadlines.
· Works as part of a team, as well, as completes assignments independently.
· Interacts with co-workers, supervisors, guests, and the public in a professional and pleasant manner.
