Supervise the SOGIE Outreach Coordinator, including weekly 1:1s

With the SOGIE Outreach Coordinator, coordinate the SOGIE volunteer program, including advertising, recruitment, training, facilitating meetings, building relationships, holding accountable to expectations, and tracking involvement points.

AFFINITY GROUP PROGRAM:

Support the full functionality of our affinity group program including recruiting group leaders, supporting group leaders through consistent meetings and creation of resources, marketing, and outreach.

SOCIAL MEDIA:

Oversee the SOGIE Social Media plan by scheduling out posts on educational topics, heritage months, awareness days, and staff features for each semester.

STAFF SUPPORT:

Attend all departmental meetings, including 1:1 with supervisor, SOGIE staff meeting, and volunteer meetings.

Maintain a clean, accessible, and inclusive program space, including managing the self-expression closet and the resource library.

Support program planning through oversight of marketing, collaborative communication with partners or speakers, volunteer sign-ups, and facilitation.Qualifications:Enrolled Graduate Student and James Madison University 24-25Conditions of Employment:Students may apply to a graduate assistantship prior to being accepted into a graduate program. However, to be eligible to receive an assistantship upon entry into a graduate program, the following criteria must be met:

The student must be conditionally or unconditionally accepted into a graduate program. Students who are provisionally accepted will not be eligible until they achieve conditional or unconditional acceptance into their program.

The students must have an official transcript on file indicating completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution or agency

After receiving an assistantship, the student must maintain at least a 3.0 graduate GPA in order to retain or reapply for the assistantship.

These are minimum criteria.
