If you answered “yes,” then read on!Military service members and veterans with ranks from E5-E9, W1-CW5, or O3-O6, plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below will be considered for this opportunity.Job SummaryThere are multiple positions available which will be filled at the level commensurate with the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience. Positions will support our Herndon District Office.Responsible for the coordination and oversight of Electrical Transmission’s Transformer Resiliency Projects, transformer maintenance activities, and warranty issue resolution. Interface with Dominion’s Reliability engineering team to help ensure project execution. Provide technical oversight to ensure Dominion’s safety practices and procedures are observed. Work with contractors and other business units to schedule and complete tasks related to transformer work. Must possess knowledge of transformer assembly and processing, maintenance guidelines, and testing.Position Responsibilities Include:

Coordinate work activities with DE and contract personnel for project specific work tasks

Attend and lead project meetings

Assist project management team with project execution

Review and approve contractor charges

Provide daily updates and work logs

Ensure DE’s transformer procedures and guidelines are followed

Abide by DE’s driving policies

Available for on site and remote field support

Ability to apply critical thinking and problem resolution

Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Provide technical expertise on transformer issues

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

Substation Operations Technical Specialist II: 3+ years directly related experience.

Substation Operations Technical Specialist III: 5+ years directly related experience.

Graduate of Electrical Equipment or System Protection Development Programs desirable;

Advanced computer skills and knowledge of software applications used in Electric Transmission maintenance and record keeping;

Knowledge of substation equipment, operations and maintenance; Strong skills for obtaining, reporting and managing electronic databases;

Extensive knowledge of Electric Transmission safety and work guidelines and procedures;

Have a working knowledge of control design drawings;

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teambuilding skills, organizational skills;

Strong leadership and problem solving skills;

Must be capable of working with minimum supervisor, must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills;

Must be capable of lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and prolonged standing;

Excellent organizational and project management skills.

Capable of maneuvering company vehicles and trailers on highways and in substations
