Bankruptcy Specialist This is a contract opportunity.This is a hybrid opportunity in Glenn Allen, VA.
About this positionWe are seeking a detail-oriented Bankruptcy Specialist II to ensure compliance with bankruptcy plans, investor guidelines, and state/federal regulations. This role involves working closely with multiple departments to monitor and manage loans in bankruptcy, ensuring all aspects of the process are handled accurately and on time.
Job Responsibilities:
Monitor loans in bankruptcy to ensure compliance with the bankruptcy plan.
Ensure adherence to investor, state, federal, and bankruptcy court guidelines and timeframes.
Communicate bankruptcy status with foreclosure, loss mitigation, escrow analysis, taxes, and insurance departments.
File Proof of Claims and ensure they are done correctly.
Serve as the first point of contact for bankruptcy attorneys and customers.
Ensure compliance with all state and federal bankruptcy rules/laws.
Prevent sanctions related to bankruptcy time-frame violations.
Skills/Requirements:
Strong knowledge of bankruptcy laws and guidelines.
Ability to collaborate with multiple departments effectively.
Detail-oriented with a focus on compliance.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to manage sensitive and complex situations with attorneys and customers.
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Information:
Hybrid work environment.
3-month contract with the possibility of extension or conversion.
Pay range:
$20-22/hr
