Description We are inviting applications for the role of Accounting Manager at our establishment in the west end of Richmond. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, supervising financial reporting, and coordinating with various teams. Responsibilities: Supervise the month-end and year-end closing activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. Prepare and review financial statements adhering to regulatory standards such as GAAP or IFRS. Oversee the reconciliation of accounts, journal entries, and adjustments. Lead and mentor the accounting staff, encouraging upskilling and reskilling opportunities to enhance their capabilities. Implement mentoring programs and job rotations to facilitate career development. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Evaluate and implement internal controls to mitigate financial risks such as fraud or misstatements. Collaborate with finance teams to develop budgets and forecasts and analyze variances to refine financial strategies. Oversee the optimal use of ERP systems to improve workflow efficiency and stay updated on relevant technical accounting skills. Coordinate with departments like finance, operations, and HR to align organizational goals.
