Edgewood Management is looking to hire a Maintenance Technician in Fredericksburg, VA!
We are looking for an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a multi-family community.
The right candidate must have strong customer service skills, good communication skills, and be detail oriented. Qualified candidates must be able to follow an on-call rotation, perform necessary maintenance and repairs in units and be able to prioritize work as it comes in. They will maintain grounds, inspect buildings/grounds/common areas and suggest repairs, perform preventative maintenance, turn vacant units per company standards, perform appliance repair, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing. Must have reliable transportation and have their own tools. They will also be able to lift 50+lbs and pass a background check (criminal and drug screen).
JOB SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical upkeep of the community. He or she must maintain and operate all mechanical equipment excluding those specifically designated for contract repair and service. The Maintenance Technician is under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

-A HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
