We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of outdoor spaces. The Landscape Technician will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure that all landscaping projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and edging lawns.
- Irrigate gardens and landscapes effectively to promote healthy plant growth.
- Build and install landscape features such as flower beds, pathways, and retaining walls.
- Conduct tree care activities including pruning, planting, and removal as necessary.
- Dig holes for planting trees, shrubs, and flowers while ensuring proper soil preparation.
- Provide grounds keeping services to maintain cleanliness and order in outdoor areas.
- Execute lawn care tasks such as fertilization, aeration, and weed control.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to ensure safe access to properties.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects efficiently.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds keeping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices including irrigation techniques and tree care is a plus.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers safely.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods outdoors.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A valid driver's license may be required for transportation between job sites.
