As a Service Advisor at a truck repair and maintenance shop, you act as the primary point of contact for customers, listening to their needs, diagnosing problems, recommending repairs, and ensuring a positive customer experience, while also coordinating with technicians and managing shop workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Interaction:
Greet customers, listen to their concerns, and document vehicle issues.
Diagnosis and Recommendations:
Ascertain the nature of the problem, conduct visual inspections, and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
Estimating and Pricing:
Provide accurate cost estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval before proceeding with work.
Work Order Management:
Prepare and manage work orders, ensuring clear communication with technicians.
Scheduling and Coordination:
Schedule service appointments, coordinate with technicians, and manage shop workflow.
Communication and Updates:
Keep customers informed about the progress of their vehicle's service and address any questions or concerns.
Sales and Upselling:
Recommend additional services and products when appropriate.
Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints or issues in a timely manner.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle service history.
Spanish and English speaking is plus.
