SimVentions, consistently voted one of Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Contracts Administrator to join our team! The Administrator will work as an integral member of the contract support staff in supporting the operations department by providing contract administration support.
Responsibilities:- Review solicitations, amendments, proposal documents, and submit all documentation timely when required.
- Upon contract award, review documentation to ensure it matches proposal or revised proposal (if negotiations took place) and coordinate with operations to initiate kick-off meetings, and communicate with all departments the contract requirements.
- Continue monitoring contract performance and ensure all federal regulatory requirements are met (i.e. limitation of funds, manpower reporting, etc.).
- When necessary, request modification to the contract and upon issuance review for accuracy and coordinate approval.
- Coordinate approval of new personnel to be added to contract as well as any other contract administration issues that may be required.
- Perform pre-award and post-award contract and subcontract administration to include:
- Serving as a business advisory to the operations team,
- Supporting the full life cycle of the contracts process from winning new business,
- Initiating and negotiating new agreements (including NDAs, TAs, contracts and subcontracts, among others)
- Administering existing agreements through close-out, including entry into and upkeep of contracts in JAMIS (our Accounting System)
- Perform risk assessment reviews of solicitations and resulting contracts/subcontracts.
- Provide feedback to the operations teams in a timely manner as required for proposal submission purposes.
- Participate in developing agreements and issue resolution.
- Assist in planning and scheduling contract and regulatory compliance activities, including internal and external audits (e.g., DCAA, DCMA, and other independent agencies).
- Provide prompt recommendations to resolution of contractual issues, including regulatory compliance issues.
- Research and analyze historical data, contractual issues and coordinate resolution with partners and engagement teams.
- Ensure compliance with government regulatory requirements such as FAR, DFAR, as well as, company policies and procedures and disclosure statements with regard to agreement preparation, review, submission, negotiation, management and close-out.
- 4-6 years of experience working in Federal Government contracting
- Contracting knowledge
- Knowledge of contractual instruments and how they are used
- Ability to use independent judgement to solve problems
- Subcontracting knowledge
- MS Office Suite experience
- JAMIS experience
