Summary About the Position: This is a Security Specialist (Force Protection) position located within US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 at Fort Gregg-Adams. The Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 develops, integrates, and manages training operations and requirements, concepts, policies, plans; and directs operations continuously across TRADOC in support of CG TRADOC. Duty Location at this positon is Fort Gregg-Adams Responsibilities As a Security Specialist (Force Protection), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Serve as a Security Specialist in the G-34 Protection Directorate/Command Provost Marshal Directorate (CPMD), G-3/5/7 Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, Plans and Training, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC),. Responsible for ensuring programs are supported by comprehensive protection plans, which focus on criminal and terrorist threat capabilities and friendly counter-capabilities. Maintain the Army’s Program of Record for Vulnerability Assessment management to track vulnerabilities. Maintain, review and/or contribute to TRADOC internet sites and the Antiterrorism Enterprise Portal. Serve as a team member of the Protection Program Higher Headquarters Assessment team. Conduct protection assessments in physical security, antiterrorism, emergency management, OPSEC and special interest items. Specialized experience is defined as: Work which includes applying principles, concepts, methodologies, and application of physical security; conducting protection assessments such as physical security, anti-terrorism, emergency management, special events and risk management. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Security Program Management Vulnerabilities Assessment and Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
