Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) - TS Xcelerate Solution is seeking an experienced Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) for a position supporting the Operations and Integration (OI) Directorate at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA). Direct administrative and action officer support to GI.

Work in coordination with the GI Front Office staff to manage scheduling and coordination of calendars, meetings, conferences, travel arrangements, etc. Keep senior leadership and Directorate staff informed of relevant organizational events.

Includes working in close coordination with Department- and Directorate-level leaders and staff; synchronizing and coordinating efforts across all GI teams; providing coordination and liaison with other contractors assigned to GI to facilitate decisions by leadership; organizing and de-conflicting meetings and action responses; assisting in strategic, operational, and tactical planning for GI.

Perform complex tasks involving gathering, analyzing, and compiling data and information into well-written reports and presentations, to support senior leader decision making.

Review, screen, control, maintain records, and coordinate responses on incoming correspondence.

Distribute and track GI action items to appropriate program and Department staff elements.

Receive, analyze, manage, track, and execute all actions related to tasks assigned to the GI received within the Task Management Tool system (TMT).

Provide tasker support, to include researching resources and coordinating with other action officers across the agency at large.

Manage multiple projects and priorities, and initiate follow up to ensure timely achievement of commitments.

Manage flow of classified and unclassified correspondence, presentations, forms and emails.

Edit and produce final copy of formal correspondence, correspondence summaries, briefings, reports, and a wide variety of other analytical, process flow, spreadsheets, and documents.

Finalize travel arrangements utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS); follow up with expense reimbursements, receipts tracking, etc.

Evaluate, integrate, analyze, and interpret information in conjunction with other DTRA staff elements.

Interface with other support services including internal and external organizational POCs.

Provide editing support for reports, briefings and memorandums; review documents for official signature, coordination or concurrence, for accuracy and completeness, conformance with style, format, or procedural requirements and guidelines.

Coordinate meetings, reserve conference rooms, initiate secure video teleconferencing (SVTC) support and other administrative and logistics support functions.

Attend and brief at GI meetings and working groups.

Oversee the GI contractor manpower and allocation per existing contracts and inform, advise, and support the GI leadership of manning status and budget.

Complete assigned tasks from OI front office in support of GI.

Provide recommendations on funding and proposals for GI and divisions.

Support other duties as required.

Advanced computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams) and demonstrated competency to manipulate, integrate, translate, manage and rationalize large volumes of data and files.

Experience with Department of Defense Enterprise Information Systems (EIS), or similar tasking platform.

Experience with developing and maintaining SharePoint databases and sites.

Experience with military technical writing, such as writing standard operating procedures, official memorandums, “ghost note” e-mails for senior leader correspondence, white papers, award citations and narratives, and Power Point presentations.

Experience with Adobe Pro.

Experience with Federal Government Records Management.

Minimum Requirements:

Top Secret, with SCI Eligibility.

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or minimum 5+ years of experience working in an operation and/or administrative capacity in a government customer environment.

Skill in preparing and presenting briefings, correspondence, reports, findings, recommendations, and other information to a variety of audiences where it is necessary to persuade contacts to achieve the desired effect.

Experience must include project coordination, calendar management, meeting planning and business document creation.

Experience at an advanced level using Microsoft Office suite applications as well as use of the internet and web applications.

Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities.

Strong interpersonal skills with a track record for effectively operating and engaging with leaders & employees at all levels of the organization.

3+ years of experience working in a joint headquarters or staff equivalent.

A Bachelor's degree or 20 years’ equivalent active military experience at strategic or operational levels.

Operations experience or background exposure.

5+ years of experience working in program management.

F lexible in a mission-focused environment where priorities constantly change.

Experience supporting DoD senior leadership (Colonel/GS15 or above).

Persuasive written and oral communication skills; messages and/or briefings are clear and concise.

Experience with the Defense Travel System (DTS).

Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Problem solver and critical thinker.

Ability to adjust to frequent changes in priorities, as well as interruptions throughout the day.

Prior active-duty military or DoD experience is a significant advantage in order to communicate using military terms of reference.

Familiarity military/DoD Personnel, Operations, Logistics, or Information Technology is desired but not required.

3-5 years of experience in workforce development, including joint training exercises.

Experience with tracking FOIA Requests.

Familiarity with DoD strategic guiding documents such as the National Security Strategy, National Defense Strategy, Joint Strategic Capabilities Plan, and Unified Command Plan.

Physical Requirements:

Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.

Most positions require the ability to work with a computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.

Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.

Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds.
