Summary About the Position: Serve as the US Army Nuclear and Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Agency (USANCA) liaison to an Army Service Component Command or Combatant Command. USANCA provides unique mission support to the Army G-3/5/7 and Department of the Army (DA) senior leaders, offsetting the lack of resident nuclear expertise in Geographic Combatant Commands. Responsibilities Formulate policies and procedures for liaison program support. Provide advice and guidance on the preparation of responses to department inquiries regarding Nuclear and CWMD actions. Ensure nuclear and CWMD concerns are integrated and synchronized with all support plans. Support training and exercises related to nuclear and CWMD mission areas. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing strategic military documents to identify shortfalls; developing nuclear training objectives; and providing recommendations to leadership on operational plans. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral Communication Strategic Thinking Written Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
