Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business Management or a Healthcare related field

Two (2) years of experience inHealthcare Risk Management

Experience with RCA (Root Cause Analysis)

Current unencumbered RN licensure

Certification in HRM (ASHRM) strongly preferred

Reside in the DMV area or be willing to relocate to the DC/MD/VA area.

US Citizenship is required for the DoD Public Trust clearance

Responsibilities:

Provide daily support for and management of healthcare quality data analysis and evaluation.

Prepare and record malpractice claim payments monthly, including active-duty death/disability cases, and initiate the required clinical quality review processes

Identify and process medical malpractice claims by legal outcome (payment) type and standard of care determinations

Maintain comprehensive understanding of national data banks and provider organizations including preparing report summaries and notification letters for distribution as directed

Leverage medical experience and knowledge when preparing executive summaries for malpractice claims and adverse action cases

Process clinical, government administrative, and criminal adverse action cases In Accordance With (IAW) Department of Defense Instruction 6025.13, Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) in the Military Health System (MHS), Defense Health Agency Procedural Manual 6025.13, Clinical Quality Management in the Military Health System (DHA-PM 6025.13), and Air Force Instruction (AFI) 44-119, Medical Quality Operations

Demonstrate competence with use of measures to assess the quality and safety of care delivered, clinical measurements used to identify trends, and focus quality improvement efforts on performance plans across the healthcare delivery system

Maintain solid understanding of healthcare clinical measurement strategies, measures, technical specifications, analysis, and display of data

Support required meetings and forums such as Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to provide the stakeholders with increased visibility of planned project activities and support a forum that ensures projects risks and issues are communicated and mitigated

Provide subject matter expertise and consultation to leadership

Prepare reports and briefs for multiple stakeholders across the organization
