Our work depends on an AFSO joining our team to protect classified government information, monitor security procedures, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the program including personnel, physical and administrative security systems and procedures.HOW AN AFSO WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Daily use of security systems such as NCAISS, eApp, NISS, NBIS and DISS.

Daily management of personnel security, document and visitor control.

Successful candidate will be tasked to utilize the SIMS security database to capture actions, update records and ensure overall data integrity

Advises assigned staff members as to current/changing security regulations, personnel clearances, secure processing and continued contractual obligations

Collaborating with other departments (Human Resources, IT, Program Management) to implement appropriate security controls, investigations and manage Insider Risk concerns as they arise.

Conduct bi-annual self-inspections

Interface directly with program management to address security items specific to each program/contract

Process and protect personally identifiable information (PII), Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and other sensitive, personal information with regards to reporting responsibilities in a professional manner

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Required Experience: 5+ years of related Security Assistant experience with a Bachelor's degree OR combination of education, related work experience, certifications, and/or training.

Security Clearance Level: Must have a Secret and the ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance.

Required Skills and Abilities: Must possess practical knowledge of and experience in security systems such as NCAISS, eApp, NISS, NBIS and DISS. Thorough understanding of related DoD security policies including 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), and other DoD compliance regulations.

Preferred Skills: Familiarity and use of the SIMS database. Successful completion of DCSA FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum.

Location: Falls Church with a hybrid work schedule

The likely salary range for this position is $85,000 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
