The Software Engineer Advisor focus on the development and management of reporting and analytics solutions in an Enterprise Data Lakehouse environment, leveraging Snowflake. This role will support critical Medicaid compliance initiatives and population health analytics, ensuring data accuracy, accessibility, and insight generation to drive healthcare outcomes. A successful candidate must be at ease working in an Agile environment with little supervision. Supporting the Technical Manager, Data Analytics and Reporting Manager to lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance reporting solutions using Snowflake and other modern data platforms.
Collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements for Medicaid compliance and specific Medicaid population health dashboards.
Develop and/or optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure data is processed efficiently and effectively in the Snowflake Data Lakehouse.
Manage and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making in Medicaid programs.
Ensure data governance and security standards are adhered to, particularly concerning sensitive health and Medicaid data.
Perform regular audits and data validation to ensure the integrity of reporting systems and outputs.
Stay updated with the latest developments in Snowflake, data Lakehouse architectures, and health analytics.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data reporting, analytics, and data engineering.
Expertise in Snowflake and hands-on experience with Enterprise Data Lakehouse architectures.
Strong proficiency with SQL, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Experience in healthcare data analytics, particularly Medicaid, compliance, and population health.
Familiarity with data governance and HIPAA regulations.
Experience with visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create dashboards and reports.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands on experience with relational databases such as SQL Server
Experience with enterprise and/or complex developments, using Agile Software Development Approaches.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A proven ability to initiate, investigate and solve technical issues with minimal technical oversight.
Strong problem solving and debugging skills towards the identification and resolution of software issues.
A key interest and proven pursuit to increase scope and depth of technical expertise.
Remote, with up to 25% travel.

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
