Our work depends on a Financial Analyst joining our team to ensure excellent support under EPA, one of GDIT's fastest growing business areas.HOW A FINANCIAL ANALYST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT● Performs financial analysis and reporting in order to monitor finances associated with business operations● Financial functions to include cost accounting, revenue recognition,subcontractor financial management, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, EAC calculations, AR Reviews, purchase requisition review, proposal pricing, and other ad hoc reporting●Forecast and Budgeting to include preparation, analysis, and input ofrevenue, costs and investments for monthly, quarterly and annual outlooks as well as strategic planning for multiple years● Provide monthly and full year variance analysis, as well as providingopportunities and risks associated with assigned contracts● Interface frequently with project manager, program staff and other businessarea leaders● Financial monthly reviews with management to provide insight into thebusiness● Reviewing contracts and modifications, understanding contract terms, andsupport contract setup and enter modifications in Oracle● Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets and generatefinancial reports as required● Review subcontract timecards weekly, ensuring timecards are signed andapproved timely.● Review and approve invoices for subcontractors and other vendors.Be knowledgeable of and be compliant with internal policies and procedures,as well as government regulations● Maintain current knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies andprocedures● Provide customer invoice assistance and reviewWHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science or four additional years of experience in lieu of a degreeRequired Experience: 2+ years of related experienceRequired Technical Skills: Strong MS Office skills, specifically Microsoft Excel to include Pivot tables, vlookup, and other advanced formulasRequired Skills and Abilities:
Ability to solve problems with minimal oversight
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and levels of an organization
Preferred Skills:
Oracle experience is highly preferred

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
