Description We are in the process of recruiting a Financial Analyst for our team located in Elliston, Virginia, in the Wood & Furniture Manufacturing sector. The successful applicant will handle auditing tasks, manage our fixed asset inventory, and contribute to financial reporting. Responsibilities: Auditing freight invoices on a weekly basis and comparing them against contracts. Importing audited data into the ERP system for further analysis. Collaborating with transportation carriers to rectify discrepancies. Conducting reconciliations of carrier statements. Collaborating with our UPS audit partner to review, analyze, and optimize freight costs. Preparing and presenting freight reports to management on a monthly basis. Identifying trends in freight data, raising awareness of potential issues, and assisting in their resolution. Conducting a physical inventory of fixed assets as per the ERP system. Updating the fixed asset inventory to account for additions, disposals, sell-offs, and audit discrepancies. Reviewing electronic expense reports to ensure they comply with company policies and general ledger coding requirements. Assisting in the preparation of internal financial reports and reports for the parent company. Providing support to the accounts receivable and accounts payable teams as necessary. Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and Fixed Asset Accounting methods to streamline Accounting Functions. Conducting Month End Close and Annual Financial Reporting activities. Reviewing Invoices and conducting Annual Physical Inventory. Requirements Candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the role of a Financial Analyst. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential for this role. Familiarity with and ability to perform Accounting Functions is a requirement. Experience in Fixed Asset Accounting is mandatory. Ability to conduct Annual Physical Inventory is necessary. Experience in Month End Close activities is a key requirement. The role requires the ability to handle Annual Financial Reporting. The candidate must be able to Review Invoices as part of their responsibilities.
