If you answered “yes,” then read on!At this time, Dominion Energy cannot transfer nor sponsor a work visa for this position.This position does not offer relocation assistance.Job SummaryDominion Generation is seeking qualified applicants for Mechanic Trainee positions at our Possum Point Power Station.As a Mechanic Trainee, you will be responsible for the following:

Learn to perform maintenance on power station mechanical equipment.

Perform overhauling and maintenance of major industrial equipment such as pumps, valves, turbines and other rotating equipment.

Overtime - planned and emergency, is required.

You will be placed in a standardized skills development program.

Individual will be part of the emergency response organization and some travel (for periods of up to a month or more) may be required to support other station outages.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.95/hour.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & ExperiencePreferred Qualifications

One (1) year of experience in overhauling and maintaining equipment such as pumps, valves, turbines and other rotating equipment.

Experience working with hand tools/industrial tools, rigging, scaffolding, forklifts, coarse and precision measurement tools, etc.

Millwright experience

Vocational/Technical training or prior military experience

Basic computer skills (including keyboarding)

A strong mechanical aptitude is a plus.

Other Qualifications

Good oral communication skills

Applies basic skills and works on developing advance skills using tools and equipment

Ability to resolve routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to more experienced personnel.

Ability to follow standard written and oral instruction.
