If you seek to make a difference on a global scale, working with next-gen technologies and the sharpest collaborative teams, then we could be a perfect match.At Volvo Trucks North America you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.You will: Join the Cab Factory logistics/industrial engineering team, supporting cab fabrication/weld shop, plastics paint shop and cab paint processes. Support different challenging product/industrial logistics projects directly connected to the future of road transport in North America. Help designing new and improve existing inbound logistic flows (external warehouses, parts’ suppliers to point of use). Work with AutoCAD and 3D drawings, develop kit carts with our Kaizen shop and external providers. Be connected and work with NRV factories’ team members like final assembly & new cab weld shop. Follow and support project phases with PM’s and Log PM’s. Configure and prepare new components and flows for new products into our systems. Perform logistics time studies (internal and external) and join continuous improvement initiatives according to the Volvo Production System guidelines. Work closely with manufacturing engineers to negotiate and align needs of production team.Who are you?In this role it’s expected: Eagerness for problem solving. To propose new vantage points for our material flows. Great communication skills as the position requires interaction to many shopfloor team members, supervisors, engineers, managers. To implement latest techniques and ways of work for lean manufacturing/logistics. Continuous improvement to be part of the daily work, always seeking for more efficient ways of work, work place organization. 3+ years in logistics areas/production environment.
