Job Summary: Driver dispatchers are in the center of action as they work closely with our professional drivers. The person hired will be responsible for communicating with drivers, data entry in a transportation management system, and coordinating the movement of shipments among their assigned drivers. This person will be the driver liaison to our customer service representatives and planners. It is necessary to develop a strong, work relationship with each driver. Mabe is looking for an energetic individual who can fulfill these duties.
Primary Duties:
Work closely with drivers, CSR, Planners, Operations, and Safety Department
Answer driver messages and phone calls
Assign/dispatch drivers on loads- transmit load information to drivers utilizing dispatch software
Maintain communication with CSR and Planners of any changes in pick up & delivery schedules and potential service failures
Ensure all drivers are operating legally per DOT rules, regulations and Mabe policies
Qualifications:
Proficient in data entry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Respond and manage difficult situations
Good attitude, strong work ethic, coachable
No trucking experience required, will train
Perform additional duties as required
Job Type:
Full time
Work every other weekend
High school diploma or equivalent required
Some college preferred
