Aerotek is Hiring CNC ProgrammersJob Duties :
Candidates will work with CAD/CAM programs and interpret large commercial drawings for fabrication of sheet metal for the sides of Curtainwall units for metal fabrication machine programming and operating.
Candidates will learn to operate their CNC equipment for metal fabrication to include saws and other specialized equipment in fabrication for all of the hardware for each unit for the framing of large window unit systems wherein program aptitude, process management on a machinery, identifying and interpreting digital 3D drawings, and reprogramming are necessary for various runs.
Candidate will do equally as much programming and must have this experience from a machine shop or related metal fabrication facility ideally.
Candidates will utilize technical CNC equipment and therefore must be highly literate in moving through various programs.
Candidates will utilize hoists to move larger pieces of sheet metal or glass material and use team lifts for any heavy or awkward objects. However, their primary role will be very technical in nature in both the office and on the plant floor.
This is not only a programming role therefore they are looking for someone that can do machine programming from a "desk" but also on the machines themselves where they will do a lot of practice runs with the Operators to ensure accuracy of product output
Skills and Qualifications Needed
Must have a mechanical aptitude and ability to proficiently read a tape measure;
Previous metal fabrication experience is a must, and will still need to re-train on their specific equipment.
Candidates must have shown in other roles that they are flexible for doing tasks wherever they are needed. If materials are held up, they may be asked to do material handling or cleaning and must be willing to do whatever is asked. They would rather hire someone that needs some training with a "can do anything you need Attitude"
