Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity in the retail industry, based in Chesapeake, Virginia. The position is for a Customer Service/Alarm Coordinator, where you will be primarily tasked with customer interaction and administrative duties. This role involves maintaining customer communications, updating customer information, and ensuring the smooth operation of our alarm system.Responsibilities: Engage with customers over the phone in a detail oriented manner Obtain and update customer license information regularly Utilize Excel for intermediate functions related to customer service operations Oversee the alarm system coordination and management Handle administrative tasks related to customer service operations Ensure accurate records are kept for customer credit applications Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required Process daily mail, scanning, and FedEx operations in the mailroom Maintain accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications. Requirements Possess experience or familiarity with retail industry practices and procedures. Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a retail setting. Proficiency in coordinating alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of mailroom operations, including sorting, distributing and dispatching mail. Proficiency with FedEx shipping and receiving procedures. Demonstrated ability to handle scanning tasks efficiently and accurately. Experience in managing daily mail, including receiving, sorting, and distribution. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with customer queries and complaints. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to work in shifts, during weekends, and on holidays, as per retail industry norms. High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification. Higher qualification or certification in relevant field would be a plus.
