AGRICULTURAL MECHANIC

Tractor are challenging and push the knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and electronics relying on observation and troubleshooting without diagnostic tools to tell you the exact issue. You cannot just replace but have to repair transmissions, engines, hydraulic pumps which can make you the best mechanic in the field. Our techs are constantly sought after since they get a well rounded mechanical knowledge. If you want to understand how to rebuild engines, rebuild transmissions, out of the box repairs then tractors are a key to those skills. It is unique and will develop a knowledge not obtained by just changing broken parts. It is also an industry that offers stability as it will always be needed. Responsibilities

Job requirements may include, but not be limited to:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Massey Ferguson tractors, implements, and other equipment. This can include engine/mechanical repairs, hardware, electrical repairs, and minor body work.

Inspect and repair tractor and equipment components, for missing or loose body parts, loose belts, oil leaks/level, coolant leaks/level, perform diagnostic, fuel tank and brackets.

Read and follow electrical schematics and other technical literature.

Be willing and able to assist other technicians with repairs.

Perform proper safety protocols and procedures, including use of protective equipment, and maintain a safe work area in accordance with company policy.

Ability to diagnose and repair tractors and equipment.

Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Strong mechanical aptitude. Must have:

Looking for Electrical troubleshooting experience and can read wiring diagrams

Technical reading aptitude (i.e. electronic service bulletins; repair manuals).

Basic soldering skills for small wiring.

Know how to use a power probe to troubleshoot circuit failures

Ability to use Computer Software to diagnose vehicle problems and calibration of farm equipment

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge relative to the importance of diagnosis and repair versus parts replacement.

Experience as a Massey Ferguson tractor mechanic is a plus.

Excellent customer service skills.

Ability to provide own tools.

Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Weekends are optional.
