Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Construction Project Estimator to join our team. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in accurately assessing project costs and ensuring that projects are completed within budgetary and timely constraints. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of construction projects and collaborate with other team members to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:

Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand project requirements.

Conduct quantity takeoffs and prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.

Develop detailed proposals and present estimates to clients.

Visit job sites to assess project requirements and gather necessary information.

Establish rapport with clients and discuss project needs, objectives, and expectations.

Sketch layouts with dimensions of proposed work area as needed to visualize project scope.

Take before and after photos of work to document project progress and completion.

Draft detailed scope of work listing all steps required to complete the work accurately.

Make materials list for field technicians based on project specifications and requirements.

Submit proposals to clients for review and approval, ensuring alignment with project scope and budget.

Maintain good and timely communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle, addressing any concerns or questions promptly.

Follow up as needed with pending proposals, providing additional information or clarification as required.

Provide necessary ongoing support to field technicians on current jobs, addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.

Provide real-time feedback to technicians using the company systems to ensure quality and efficiency.

Order materials and coordinate subcontractors if necessary.

Inspect completed projects to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.

Attend staff meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and strategies for improvement.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a construction estimator, preferably in residential construction projects.

Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.

Proficiency in construction estimating software preferred.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication with team members and clients.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $55,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive base pay, we also provide opportunities for salary increases based on individual and company performance.
