Louisa area mining company has an opening for a part-time to full-time quality-control lab technician. We are willing to train. Job duties include, but not limited to, collection of samples inside the industrial plant and outdoors in the mine, lab analysis of samples, microscope analysis, etc. Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all conditions, lift and carry 10 pounds, perform other minor physical labor, and not be afraid to get your boots and clothes a little dirty. Successful candidate should also have basic math skills, pay attention to detail, be able to multi-task, and prioritize assignments. Work includes both individual assignments and team projects, so communication skills are important. Potential flexible schedule for persons with young children in school. Pay is dependent on experience and capabilities. Health and retirement benefits available.
