Why This Role Is Special
If you’re a student (or a budding entrepreneur at heart) who’s been itching to see how a business really gets built, forget the boring internships. This is your backstage pass to the wild, unfiltered world of startups. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with our founder (a proud UVA double hoo ‘10 & ‘11) and get a 360° view of what it’s like to launch and grow a company from scratch.
What You’ll Actually Do
Master of Miscellaneous: One day, you’ll be sorting through a mountain of circuit boards; the next, you’re shipping a fleet of refurbished desktop towers to customers nationwide.
Heavy Lifter: Some portion of this job will be picking things up and putting them down. Some of those things will be heavy, so bonus points for time in the gym.
Button Pusher: We want to securely wipe as much of the tech as we can to make it available for resale. You'll need to follow the right processes to get data destroyed and tech reusable. Bonus points if you want to actually fix things.
Business & Marketing Ninja: Brainstorm creative marketing campaigns, research new partnerships, and help craft social media content that celebrates our mission and gets us noticed.
Founder’s Right Hand: Think of it as a front-row seat to the roller coaster ride of running a startup.
Who You Are
Aspiring Entrepreneur: You’re more “Let’s build something” than “Let’s punch the clock.”
Curious & Adventurous: New software? Never refurbished a PC? Bring on the challenge. You’re ready to dive in and learn.
Reliable: For this role I need to be able to trust that you'll do what you say you'll do.
Tech-Savvy (or Tech-Eager): Maybe you’ve upgraded your own computer or simply love tinkering. Either way, a fascination with tech is a major plus.
