The University of Virginia School of Law is seeking candidates for a small number of limited-term, non-tenure-track Research Assistant Professor faculty positions beginning in August 2025. These new faculty members will join a vibrant scholarly community in the School of Law, which takes pride in its collegial and supportive environment.These positions are designed to provide candidates with time to work on their scholarship in anticipation of entering the law school teaching market.J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or foreign equivalent degree strongly preferred. In exceptional cases, a terminal degree in the applicant’s field (e.g., a Ph.D.) will be considered.
